About Solutions Accountancy
Hi, I’m Vicky Newham. In 2007, I gave my notice and set up Solutions Accountancy with no money and big dreams. At the time, I realised that most accountants didn’t give SMEs the advice they needed to grow and some of the larger firms were expensive and unapproachable – I knew it was my job to bridge that gap.
The world of accountancy is ever-changing, and I have always endeavoured to be at the forefront of this change. For example, our innovation allowed clients to see the benefits of new, exciting software rather than waiting for MTD (Making Tax Digital) to come in.
Although our practice has grown from strength to strength, our core values remain. Fairness, credibility, accuracy and flexibility are as important to me as they were on day one. With that, we have created a positive, supportive place of work, allowing our staff and clients to feel comfortable visiting.

Vicky
Vicky started Solutions Accountancy in 2007, and her role now very much involves the operational side of the practice. When she’s not working, Vicky is also a school governor, a charity trustee, and a bit animal mad with 24 rescue animals!
Trevor
Trevor works in high-level tax work and complex cases; he also spends a lot of his time being the point of contact for clients whenever they have queries. At home, Trevor likes to spend time walking his dog.
Paul
Paul is always a calming influence on the office and on clients, he is also full of technical knowledge. Paul loves to spend time with his family, particularly his young son Theo.
Chris
Chris has been a member of the team for many years, he takes a logical and technical approach to accounting and has a wealth of tax knowledge. Chris has 2 lovely Labradors called Olly and Oscar, and he also likes to play Tennis and squash.
Anna
Anna looks after payroll for all our clients and does bookkeeping and VAT work. She has a keen eye for detail and never misses anything! In her spare time, she loves gardening and spending time with her son.
Louise
Louise looks after us all and the office! She is mum to five children so she has a very busy homelife too.
